This author is dead wrong on so many levels.
Do I believe her when she says that everyone struggles? Yes. But she doesn't have the slightest clue about why she is here on this earth, what marriage is for. And, most of all, she doesn't even have a glimmer of understanding about what happiness is.

I think it's easier for the author to blame the institution of marriage than look to herself--and her attitude--as the source of her problems. I mean, the worst she can come up with, regarding her husband's behavior, is that he inspects his armpits in public? Even the matter of the Volvo in the parking lot is obliviousness, not malice. And if she thinks married men aren't properly socialized, she might check out unmarried men.
That's just my opinion.
